Blessing You in 2015

sunriseFor the first post in the New Year, I want to bless you, my readers.

Are you aware of the power of the blessing? Look at the blessings given by the patriarchs of the Old Testament. They were powerful and prophetic. Now check the blessings offered by Christ and also by the New Testament fathers in the faith, like Peter and Paul. Those blessings are given to us, not just to the recipients of the letters. They are powerful and strong, encouraging us to continue.

Blessings overcome curses. Have you ever been cursed? Of course you have. Living in a fallen world will do that to you.

Blessings convey the heart of God for His people. When we bless someone with something we know is from Him, it brings faith and a greater understanding of the Lord.

Here we go—

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I bless you with a deeper relationship with Jesus. I bless you with an intimacy you have not known before in this realm.

I bless you with healing from the wounds of the past. Of course, you have to be willing to let go of them and to do the work of healing, but please accept this blessing as being from the God who loves you.

I bless you with a hunger and thirst for His word. This is not only the written word (the logos of the Bible) but also the spoken word (the rhema from His heart to yours).

I bless you with the wisdom that is promised in James 1:5.

I bless you with inner honesty and truth, from Psalm 51:6.

I bless you with a deeper growth in the fruit of the Spirit, from Galatians 5:22-23.grapes, white and black

And most of all, I bless you with a deeper comprehension of the Love of the Father. Crawl up on His lap and listen to His heart. Feel His affection. He loves you more than you know.
