The Trailhead, part two

Finally, my computer issues are solved, and I can continue this blog series. Thanks for waiting!
So, we are at the trailhead.
And what exactly is a trailhead? Well, it’s the area at the beginning of the trail where you prepare for the journey. Or the hike. Maybe the struggle, if you prefer.
A place of preparation, the trailhead is where you count the cost and take inventory of your supplies. You check according to the hike you are planning. Do you need snowshoes or just hiking boots? Will you need a parka or a windbreaker? Light snacks or a full, freeze-dried meal?
You get the idea.
How is your preparedness? Have you analyzed it? Have you let God direct your prep, like He did for me?
How long will this step take? Honestly, no one can truly answer that. It can take a day or a decade. For me, the prep took about 7-8 years in all. Even when I thought I was ready, something would happen to make me re-think the process. And when I was truly ready, the journey wasn’t quite as rocky as I expected.
Are you ready to begin the healing journey? Or do you need more prep time? Only the Creator knows. No fear; He will let you know.
Next week: The gate opens
