Creativity is the Spice of Life

Think about it: how would it feel to live in a black and white world? One with every sound muffled, or worse, no sound at all? No interesting scents. No textures out of the ordinary.
Boring, huh? Now follow that lead until you reach a conclusion. 
What I’ve just described is called “sensory deprivation”. I know, some days it sounds great: relaxing, quiet, peaceful. However, for the average person, long-term exposure would lead to madness and eventually death. It’s true. Our minds and bodies need variety, they need stimulation, and they wither when deprivation settles in for the long haul.
God is a creative being (they don’t call Him Creator for nothing!). He has made us in His image, ergo we are also creative in one way or another. When that creativity is stifled by internal or external influences, it leads to anger, depression, fear . . . all because our creative outlets have been denied.
Maybe it’s been a while since you’ve tapped into your creativity. Maybe it’s time to sing a new song. Or write a few words. Or craft something unusual. No pressure, just encouragement.
